The MKN circular dated 18th March 2020 presents a list of exclusions for the MCO. JKR / DOSH have classified our works as “critical” to public safety in their letter dated 21st March 2020. KKM have also reclassified our works as “essential” in their letter dated 21st March 2020. Critical works on the project will continue as per government directive and all associated personnel are required to work during the MCO.
The government views tunnelling, station excavation and selected elevated works as critical and should be completed to avoid incidents that can cause injury to public lives and damage to public properties. In that note, the construction of permanently designed supports, i.e. reinforced base slabs, tunnel linings and long span construction must not be delayed.
